The purpose of this study is to conduct an examination based on pre-service teachers' beliefs about the theoretical content teacher education programmes. research was carried out with a basic qualitative design. group determined criterion sampling method, which one purposive methods. consisted 134 teachers studying in three different programmes their eighth semester. Analyses were performed belief statements labelled 582 vivo codes. An extensive and detailed analysis process consisting stages followed research. shows that highest rate functions remembering category. Pre-service dysfunctionality mostly reflected preconceptions content. Beliefs how could be overcome related need solve problems trust, permanence context In programmes, focus ways deal at metacognitive level
